What Is a Multi-Gen Australian Labradoodle (ALD)?

Multi-Gen ALDs are NOT Just Labradoodles

People are often confused and just want to group Multi-Gen Australian Labradoodles with regular Labradoodles, Aussiedoodles or Doodles in general.

The Multi-Generational Australian Labradoodles are a combination of 3 breeds (Labrador, Poodle and Spaniel); through careful selection, testing and proven generations the ALD is a stand alone breed.  It is not a Poodle, it is not a Labrador and it is not a Spaniel—Nor is it “just a Labradoodle.”

Responsible, reputable breeders of the Multi-Gen Australian Labradoodle have a proven finish. The guess work has been removed and what you get is a dog that has a luxurious silky, fleece coat; soft and fluffy fleece that has very little to no shed. It is not tight curls, wiry or a double coat. It is wavy to loose curls with a single coat.

ALD personalities are predictable! They are loving, gentle, easy going, playful, smart, highly intuitive, easily trained and down right hysterical.  Their ability to bond with their Family is remarkable. They have an uncanny ability to read body language, sense moods and emotions; they can read the room.

ALD Coats

Fleece coat has a silky fleece texture, ranges from straight to wavy or falling in soft curls. It is low to no shed.

Wool Coat is dense and similar in feel to a lamb’s wool hanging in loose or tight spiraling curls and will open up to show the skin. It is low to no shed.

Allergy-Friendly

Family members with allergies and asthma will finally be able to enjoy an up close and personal snuggle without suffering.

All of the above wonderful qualities are what make them ideal candidates for Service and Therapy Work. Many ALDs work as Service/Therapy dogs in many different capacities. Of course, they also make amazingly cuddly family members!

If you are looking for your ALD to perform Service Work, we can identify the right puppy for the job!  Utilizing our independently conducted temperament evaluations, along with our weeks of observation, we are able to recognize the traits needed for the kind of work expected from your dog. Combining our puppy evaluations and the understanding we develop of you through our ongoing communication, we are able to help start you and your new puppy out on the right foot!
